Trainings and Workshops A combination of classroom/field options are available to allow for trainings ranging from one to five days in length. Class room lectures are presented with PowerPoint slide shows. If requested, handouts of lecture outlines and other supporting literature are also available. The following lectures are available for presentation. · Fisheries - Salmon and steelhead biology/life history. · Fisheries - Identification of salmonid habitat for planning and permitting purposes. · Fish passage assessment - Overview of topic (scope of problem, types of barriers, impacts to fish populations, regulatory requirements). · Fish passage assessment – CDFG methodology to measure and assess stream crossings (class room and/or field trainings). · Fish passage assessment - Overview of FishXing software as an assessment tool. · Fish passage treatment projects - Overview of design options. · Fish passage treatment projects - Overview of mitigation measures to reduce impacts to water courses during construction projects in and adjacent to fish-bearing stream channels.
